AsreKhodro: the required processes and tests for adapting Iran Khodro’s micro-hybrid Samand in accordance with Euro4 standards have been successfully accomplished.
According to the report of AsreKhodro News Agency, quoting Ico Press, having said that engineer Mir JavadJavadSoleimani, the deputy director of Iran Khodro in Quality and Development of Products, declared: commercializing phase of micro-hybrid Samand was finished in 21st of April this year (1st of the month Ordibehsht) and also the approval of all parts were final but in order to adapt this project in accordance with Euro4 standards, new processes have been considered.
He added: the processes of type and validity confirmation which were defined for micro-hybrid Samand, in a manner of pre-production and online, were done on 50 vehicles in a period of more than two months and this automobile is presented as a new product for plate-numbering and 55 fold tests.
Engineer Soleimani addressed the micro-hybrid (or electric turn on/off system) as an option in Iran Khodro’s products and said: 40 vehicles of Samandequipped with this system that were manufactured in pre-production phase, after completing the necessary processes and controls, were delivered to the selling section in September in order to study the request and feedback of the markets.
The deputy director of Iran Khodro in Quality and Development of Products mentioned that 5 micro-hybrid Samand were delivered to taxi-operating organization in June this year (the month of Tir) and said: according to the procedures of the Fuel and Transportation Management Headquarters, since taxies (cabs) must be delivered by this organization, in spite of numerous correspondences,persistenceand 15 cases of meetings, these taxies are not numbered yet. Three of them are kept in the parking of the taxi-operating organization and the other two are still in selling section.
He declared: regarding to micro-hybrid Samand, Iran Khodro has fulfilled its responsibilities on-time and correctly but because the reasons mentionedabove in case of these taxies,this procedure did not take its course properly. But those 40 vehicles delivered to the selling section were sold out within four days and the customers paid and extra Rls500 thousand in order the get this option and feedback of markets show that the customers are satisfied with this product.
Soleimani Added: in order to add air bag to this product in December (early days of the month of Dey), changes were made in sub-systems and wired-handle and after receiving the sample parts, sample vehicle was also manufactured and primal approvals were announced to the SAPCO. By supplying the necessary parts, producing one thousand micro-hybrid Samandequipped with air bag, that were in schedule,will be set on our agenda till the end of this year.
“Another 40 micro-hybrid Samand were produced and sent to selling section” having said that this responsible authority declared: these 40 vehicles were sold out in one day and more requests from the clients for this option are received.
Deputy Director of Iran Khodro added: decrease in fuel consumption as a result of using micro-hybrid system (turn on/off) depends on the number of stopping along the road. Therefor it is expected that this system shows more efficiency in urban areas.
He announced that Iran Khodro’s target of decreasing fuel consumption as a result of using micro-hybrid system is set for 4.5% and said: depending on the travel cycle, this rate can be increased up to 15%.
